My name is Yu Sen (Aaron). I was very fortunate to come to the Angels School in February 2006 (known as Bo Ai School at that time), and it has been nine years since then.
In 1997, a brutal accident took my dad away from our family. I was only few months old when it happened. Feeling lonely and totally helpless, my mother ran away and never came back. Since then I was living with my grandparents. I don’t have much memories of my childhood. The only memory I had was my grandparents and how difficult life was. When I was nine years old, Living Hope International came to my hometown, looking for orphans and needy children to assist. I attended the interview and had met the all the conditions. I was fortunate to come to Bo Ai School founded by LHI.
In school, I got to know so many brothers and sisters who suffered a similar loss as I did, so we were getting along very well. In the School, besides academic subjects, we’ve received different type of art training. I remembered we would start practicing our skills early every morning. Headmaster Shi and other teachers took great care of us and at the same time were very strict with us which had laid a good foundation for our growth. While I was at the Angels School, I met many caring people. Some of them were in the city of Beijing, some were from other Provinces and some from America. In here, we felt love coming from different places in the world. We were truly grateful!
Two years ago, I graduated from middle school and was enrolled in the Beijing International Vocational Education School, majoring in computer. Since I started in this school, we had more freedom which was quite different from primary and middle school where we were constantly being reminded by teachers to be sure to study hard. Indeed I had more freedom; however, I at times felt lonely and that I had less support. Ever Since I left the Angels school, I missed my brothers and sisters so much.
I have grown now. I know I have to stand on my own two feet and take care of myself. On the weekend, I will get a part-time job to pay for my living expenses.
